Ivory Coast Chocolate took its name from the country of its origin. Ivory Coast is the number one producer of cocoa in the world! Its location on the globe gives it’s cocoa beans woody and earthly notes.
Single-origin cocoa is a simple idea.
We search for explicit cocoa producers in one region at a time, or sometimes even from one farm. This is important because cocoa beans, as a plant, take on the characteristics of the region they are grown. The geography, climate and geology gives cocoa a unique taste, the “terroir”. We are constantly searching for best quality cocoa. Our first Single Origin Chocolate is from Ivory Coast.
